How do I delete my web browser's cache?
How do I delete my web browser's cache?
Solution
Every time you access a website using your web browser, the browser will store the files on your computer, this is known as caching . This means the next time you visit the website it will load faster as it has already downloaded the necessary files. You should clear the cache if you are making changes to your website as otherwise the original may be displayed.
Internet Explorer 7
1. From the Tools menu, select Delete Browsing History....
2. Next to "Temporary Internet Files", click Delete files....
3. Click Yes, and then click Close to exit.
Firefox 3 for Windows and Mac OS X
1. In Firefox, from the Tools menu, select Clear Private Data.
2. Make sure Cache is checked, and then click Clear Private Data Now.
Safari
1. From the Safari menu, select Empty Cache....
2. When prompted, click Empty to confirm that you want to empty the cache.
